Had a difficult time over the past few weeks. My wife had to go into full time care, this has been hard to deal with emotionally. After a series of falls in the care home followed by a sickness bug, she has gone down hill quite rapidly.
This week my dog, a 10 year old Australian Terrier, suddenly developed diabetes. After several vet visits she is now improving but not yet out danger. She has now lost nearly 2kg in weight over the week, two insulin shots a day are helping but she is not yet stable.
It is tough to come to terms with both situations.
